Raeph Ballantyne Age: How Old Was Raeph Ballantyne?

Late cameraman Raeph Ballantyne was a senior broadcast camera journalist on the BBC News team. He worked as a cameraman for the BBC since at least 2013.

Throughout his time working at the British TV and news network, Ballantyne was involved in making some extremely important programming. In 2018, Raeph Ballantyne produced a piece on policing in Hartlepool which David Sillito described as “a masterclass in TV news.”

More recently, Ballantyne was part of the team to work on I Can’t Say My Name: Stammering in the Spotlight (2021). This documentary film was made with BBC producer Felicity Baker, who addresses her own struggles with a speech impediment and what it’s like to go through life with a stammer. Last year also saw Ballantyne work on covering the first new sickle cell treatment in 20 years.

Ballantyne came into contact with some of the world’s most famous faces because of the nature of his work from Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama to Greta Thunberg.
