Radio Africa Group Ltd Description
Radio Africa Group is a top Radio, TV and Newspaper Media House in the region. It operates the top radio stations in Kenya, including Kiss FM and Classic 105. When Kiss100 launched in the late 90s, it shifted radio marketing and content paradigms in Kenya and is known for its notoriously provocative and risqué tone in its communication that always raises eyebrows.
Radio Africa
Radio Africa has been online since 1999. Initially, it was a website for a radio program of the same name, which I hosted and which was broadcast weekly on 3CR. In the early years, the web site existed simply to feature the playlists. By 1999 the website had grown into its own URL, and I began to expand the information to include discographies of West African recording labels and a series of reviews of “African classics” – recordings of African music which were long out of print.
The web site continues to expand and now features rare videos, 25+ discographies, music, publications, and links to my projects in Africa.
