Jamie Linden is an American screenwriter. He was born on September 3, 1980 in Winter Park, Florida, United States.
Raised in Winter Park, Florida, Linden attended Lake Howell high school. He then enrolled at Florida State University where he majored in digital media production and marketing. Following graduating college in 2001, he moved to the West Coast.
Linden commenced as a screenwriter in Hollywood in 2006 when his script for We Are Marshall was turned into a movie starring Matthew McConaughey.
Linden also wrote the screenplay for the film adaption of Nicholas Sparks’ Dear John (2010) and made his directorial debut in 2011 with the film 10 Years — both starring Channing Tatum. He also co-produced both We Are Marshall and Dear John.
Linden has since written the screenplay for Money Monster (2016), starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and worked on rewrites for the screenplay for the sci-fi movie Chaos Walking, featuring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley.
