Rachel Elliot, a Bundoran woman suffered from various injuries at the time of the accident.
The 25-year-old suffered major brain, back, and pelvic injuries, but only recently recovered consciousness and was reunited with her son in what she described as a “very emotional day.”
“Mother and son time, to say the least, they were extremely thrilled to be reunited… very emotional day,” Donna said on Facebook with a photo of the two huggings.
Rachel, from Irvinestown in Co Fermanagh, underwent successful back surgery last week, and everything was “doing well,” Donna told friends and relatives.
