Rachel Brosnahan Natural Hair Color

Rachel has short, deep brown hair. Though it looks like her natural hair color, the actress told POPSUGAR that she wasn’t actually born a brunette.

“I’m naturally blond,”

Over the years, Brosnahan has walked back and forth between brown and blond — and even had red hair in 2015 — but says she has a preference for color: “Even though I’m a natural blonde — and normally I’m a huge advocate for being exactly who you are — but I really feel more myself with dark hair,” Rachel said.

Rachel Brosnahan Jewish

Brosnahan, 29, is not Jewish, but that doesn’t stop her from perfectly doling out sharp one-liners about mezuzahs, disappointing Hanukkah gifts, and the perfect deli order. And there’s a good reason for why she so fluently talks to talk: She grew up in Highland Park, Illinois, a suburb outside of Chicago with an incredibly high percentage of Jews. I know, because I grew up nearby in a town called Buffalo Grove. The entire area is, to put it technically, quite Jewy, and it turns out Brosnahan eventually used this to her advantage when bringing Midge Maisel to life.
