QB Jayden de Laura Parents Jacob And Malinda de Laura Have Three Sons

QB Jayden de Laura is the eldest son born to his parents, Jacob De Laura and Malinda De Laura.

Raised in the Palolo community of Honolulu, his parents tried for almost 17 years to shield him from the muggy spaces of the low-income residential building.

Jacob and his wife, Malinda, ran a tight ship thanks to a vast network of relatives who assisted them.

Although they consistently upheld the correct principles, it wasn’t always simple to protect Jayden when others weren’t behaving similarly.

Meet Jayden de Laura Parents Jacob and Malinda de Laura

Jayden de Laura is one of the three sons of Jacob and Malinda de Laura. He was born to his parents in Honolulu, Hawaii, on 11 August 2001.

His mom and dad always tried their best to protect him from the disturbing environment, where many young children were seen mingling with drug dealers at 1 and 2 in the morning.

Through a bedroom window, Jayden’s buddies would yell his name in an attempt to entice him outside – a fight between good and wrong that every adolescent faces occasionally.

According to a 2016 Honolulu Civil Beat story, the region is making improvements but is still, in large part, “overshadowed by its past.

Mr. Jacob, who was a former high school footballer, once shared that the biggest challenge was being truthful and preventing his son from becoming involved in that lifestyle.

Jayden’s dad works two full-time jobs as a security guard at a hospital and an education assistant at a nearby middle school.

De Laura was 11 years old when his father felt confident inviting him to watch adult flag football games at a nearby park.

While attempting to remove the yellow piece of plastic hanging from his shorts, the youngster cut smoothly through the muddy field, outsmarting mature men with jobs, families, and mortgages.

Jayden de Laura Has Two Brothers In The Family

Jayden was raised alongside his two siblings. Both of his brothers, Jayson and Jayxen, are aspiring football athletes.

Last year, during a conversation with 247sports, Laura shared that one of his younger siblings, following his suspension that spring, put him straight.

He recalled a crucial talk he had with one of his brothers following his suspension for that entire spring for a DUI (he was eventually found not guilty).

De Laura, who has two brothers, didn’t mention whom he was referring to. However, he couldn’t have been pleased to be back on the gridiron in August 2021.

In 2019, Jayden’s coaches, Jeffrey Phelps, Mele, and Kendrick Shaver, visited his family. The quarterback shared photographs on his Twitter handle @jayden_delaura and penned thanks to coaches for making it out today.

Laura’s Uncle Mel Was A Conditioning Coach At Hawai’i

Arizona QB Jayden de Laura’s uncle Mel played as a wide receiver for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Football team.

Later, Mel also coached the team. He was appointed as a strength & conditioning coach at Southern Methodist University (SMU) under coach June Jones.

When Jayden’s uncle relocated to Oahu from Texas to work on the island’s light rail project, he prioritized putting 40 to 50 pounds on his nephew’s physique before he departed for college.

Mel stopped by the Plolo housing complex every day to pick up Jayden, generally after two- or three-hour football or basketball sessions.
