Joseph Adorno, a Puerto Rican boxer, is currently being searched for by millions of people around the globe as he appears in ShoBox New Generation at Bally’s Events Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 9, 2022.
Adorno, defeated by skilled lightweight contender Michel Rivera, will fight Hugo Alberto Roldan in a 10-round junior welterweight contest for “ShoBox: The New Generation” (Showtime). Shinard Bunch, who withdrew from the match with Roldan for personal reasons, was just replaced by the former amateur star.
Adorno lost to Rivera in the final bout of a challenging run that began in 2020 and saw him lose three straight contests. He drew with Hector Garcia Montes in January 2020, then did the same thing in April against the unbeaten Jamaine Ortiz before Rivera destroyed him on Showtime.
After losing to Rivera, Adorno overcame it to defeat rookies Juan Santiago and Roberto Almazan Monreal in their respective planned six-round fights in May and July. The biggest opportunity for Adorno to prove he is a better player than in his loss in March of last year will come on Friday.

Puerto Rican Boxer Joseph Adorno Was Trained And Managed By His Father Anibal
The famous 23-year-old boxer used to imitate every delicate move his father used and practiced it until he remembered it. While sitting ringside and watching his father Anibal compete as an amateur boxer, Joseph Adorno used to ball his little fists of rage and launch them into the air.
Then, suddenly, everything was different. Anibal discarded all of his awards. An unfortunate event caused Anibal’s vision to go in one eye, which made him bitter. As a result, Adorno hears from his father, Anibal, every day that he will do everything it takes to get Adorno where he always wanted to be in boxing.
The Puerto Rican boxer freely accepts that it is alright for him as his father is trying to live his dreams through his son. He admits that he is following his and his father’s dreams and is trying to have a successful career in boxing.
Both Joseph Adorno And His Brother Jeremy Adorno Are Professional Boxers
Joseph, age 23, and his brother Jeremy, age 21, are promoted by Top Rank and trained by their father, Anibal Adorno. Anibal wanted his dream of becoming a boxer to be fulfilled by his sons and achieve the professional success he could not.
Joseph, a weightlifter, has a 14-0-1 professional record with 12 knockouts. In his approximately 200-fight amateur career, he was a top amateur with a history of 156-22 and many amateur tournament victories.
The weightlifter won Silver Gloves, Ringside, and Junior Olympic titles and was a 13-time National Champion. Shakur Stevenson, the world champion, has lost to him twice as an amateur.
Likewise, his brother Jeremy, a super bantamweight, has a 4-0 record with one knockout. Jeremy competed as an amateur and belonged to USA Boxing. He won more than 100 matches. The bantamweight also won the 2017 USA Boxing Youth National Championships, Ringside World Championships, and National Silver Gloves.
