She was a senior lecturer and researcher at Wits University from 1990-1995. In 1995, she founded Children and Violence Trust. Her journey of contributing to society and easing people’s lives started from there.
The seed for her political career was her role as Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training at the National Executive in 2012. After two years, in 2014, she officially became a member of the national assembly.
