Prince Emeka Obasi was a Nigerian journalist and politician. He was the founder of Zika Awards and National Mirror. Emeka Obasi was born on February 10, 1964, Umuahia, Abia state.

Emeka Obasi attended Community Primary School, Ahiaeke Ibeku, Umuahia and Ibeku High School, Umuahia for his primary and secondary education.

In 1987, Emeka Obasi obtained a degree in English from the University of Calabar.

Career

Emeka Obasi started his career as a reporter with Newswatch in 1987. He joined Classique Magazine as an editor in 1989.

Between 1990 and 1993, he was the President and CEO of Cameo Adventures Limited, Lagos and Patrioni Limited, Public Relations Consultant respectively.

In 1993, Emeka Obasi was the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, Hallmark Newspapers, a position he held till 1999.

In 1998, Emeka Obasi set up Hallmark newspaper but was later shit down.

Emeka Obasi was married to Betty Obasi with four children. He was a Christian of Igbo origin from Uzuakoli, Abia state.
