Pradeep Patwardhan was an Indian actor. The actor was popular for his work in theatre, the most popular being Moruchi Mavashi. He also featured in Marathi films and TV shows.

He starred in several movies including Ek Full Chaar Half (1991), Dance Party (1995), Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy (2009), Gola Berij (2012) and Bombay Velvet (2015), Police Line (2016), Chashme Bahaddar (2006), Ek Shodh (2010) and 1234 (2016). Patwardhan also stars in Amol Bhave’s Journey Premachi (2017).

Pradeep Patwardhan passed away after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at age 64 at his residence in Girgaon, an area in southern Mumbai.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule offered condolences to the actor’s family and fans on social media.

“Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of veteran marathi actor Pradeep Patwardhan. Heartfelt condolences. My thoughts and prayers with his family members, fans and followers,” she tweeted.

“Pradeep Patwardhan, the evergreen actor who ruled the hearts of the audience with his graceful acting in Marathi cinema, passed away tragically. With his departure, the Marathi art world has lost a great artist,” Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also tweeted.
