Control, a visionary crime procedural set in two separate environments – the sexy New York party scene and the brutal heroin trade – comes from Executive Producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and show designer Courtney Kemp Agboh (The Good Wife).
“James “Demon” St. Patrick has it all: a stunning woman, a beautiful penthouse in Manhattan, and New York’s best, up-and-coming new nightclub. The elite are taken care of by his club, Truth: the popular and notorious boldface faces who rule the town that never sleeps. If its output increases, so do the plans of Ghost to create an empire. The fact, however, conceals an ugly reality. It is a cover for the criminal underground of Ghost; a profitable network of narcotics, serving only the rich and rich.
James “Ghost” St. Patrick doubles in on his opioid company to preserve his nightclub and the hope of a legitimate future: Season two takes up right where it left off. In addition to balancing his friendship with his mom, Tasha, and his first girlfriend, Angela, who is also an Assistant US Attorney prosecuting his opioid organization, Ghost’s job problems pale.
His business associate, Tommy, who enjoys drug sports, and his old boss, Kanan, are set back farther from his dream by Ghost, fresh out of prison and hungry for vengeance.
In a race against himself, season two has Ghost: Will he come out of the opioid game alive before Angela learns who he is?
The new season would take up on the heels of the heavily reported conviction of James “Ghost” St. Patrick by his ex-girlfriend, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Valdes, for the assassination of FBI Agent Greg Knox, a crime that he did not commit. This season, Ghost can’t conquer his past choices and mounting enemies, which at every turn endanger his independence and the survival of his kin. His quest for salvation takes him face-to-face with the Feds, fresh friends, the media, and old rivals. Yet Ghost remains the largest challenge to himself and his internal conflict between the guy he wishes to be and the person he actually is.
