Miki Garcia is a former playboy magazine model; however later, she retired from that career and started to work in the real estate business. Recently, her appearance in the docuseries Secrets of Playboy has brought her into the limelight.
So far, Miki has accused Hugh Hefner, a founder of Playboy magazine, of many serious allegations; sadly, even if her claims are true, the victims won’t get justice because Hugh died in 2017, at the age of 91.
There is a conflict between the people who agree and disagree with Miki and other former playmates’ allegations. Many people say that these playmates might be exaggerating because there is only one side of the story available.
What Happened To Miki Garcia?
Miki Garcia left the world of glamour and found herself in the world of real estate. As per Miki, she left Playboy because she saw serious issues in Hugh’s action that endangered the safety of playmates.
She also said that many playmates were drugged and were subjected to do many things that they would never do when they were sober. Miki talked about cocaine use in the playboy mansion. Miki accused Hugh of taking advantage of a misguided woman.
Hugh has been accused of many ill-mannered behaviors and drugging young women by playmates; however, most of these allegations came out after the death of Hugh, so their veracity is questionable.
Nonetheless, Miki’s accusations are different from them because she started her battle against Hugh’s sexual abuse long before the Me Too movement, so her allegations are considered to have more truth than others.
Playboy Playmate Promotions Director Now
Now, Miki is in the real estate business. Miki turned into the head of promotion at Playboy after she left her career as a model. She said that she assumed that role because she wanted to bring changes and protect women in Playboy magazine. She wanted to expand Playboy.
However, later, she decided to end that career and pursue real estate because she was interested in houses. She got her real estate license in 2000 and managed to have a good and successful life. She is in her 70s now.
She can be seen in the docuseries talking about sexual and drug abuse that went on in the playboy mansion. If her statements are true, there was serious exploitation of women by Hugh, but sadly, he cannot be brought to punishment.
Miki managed to get her life together even after that horrific part of her life, but not all have stories like her. Many women found themselves lost and in despair after leaving playboy magazine.
