PJ Dozier Parents: Meet Perry Dozier Sr and Theresa Dozier

Perry Dozier Jr. is a professional basketball player who at the moment is a member of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He started his basketball career as a result of his high school success and selection to play in the 2015 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game, where he scored 14 points.

Perry decided to play college basketball with the South Carolina Gamecocks, and according to ESPN, he was the class’s 21st-best recruit.

Perry, along with Sindarius Thornwell, had a significant impact on South Carolina’s unexpected appearance in the Final Four during his second season.

He defeated Marquette with 21 points throughout the tournament, and for his outstanding performance, he was nominated to the East Region All-Tournament Team.

He then went on to contribute to the team’s victory in the Final Four by scoring 17 points against Gonzaga. Perry finished his second year and declared himself available for the 2017 NBA draft.

Perry was adamant about pursuing his long-standing basketball goals despite going undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft. He took part in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2017 NBA Summer League before signing a contract with the Dallas Mavericks shortly after.

However, in October of the same year, he was let go from the team. Perry persisted and eventually signed a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, splitting his time between the Thunder and the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G League.
