Nicole Richie Arrest Charges And Mugshot- Is She Locked Up In Prison?
Nicole Richie has been arrested multiple times, which has affected her negatively career-wise though she always sprang back up. She was locked up in prison once upon a time though she barely served her sentence.
The first public legal encounter the 40-year-old fashion designer faced was when she was arrested in October 2002 after a night at the New York City nightclub ended in a brawl. Although the charges ended up being dropped, she received negative attention from the media.
Nicole was arrested again less than four months after her first arrest in Malibu, California. The case against her was serious as she was found driving with a revoked license in February 2003. The famous TV personality was sentenced to three years of probation in the same year in August.
Three years later, on December 11, 2006, the actress was arrested again when the California Highway Patrol found her driving under the influence.
After being sentenced to four days in prison at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, on July 27, 2007, she was freed after only serving 82 minutes of her sentence.
The detention system was overcrowded, which led to her early release.
Recently, she has not had legal troubles.
