Phil Anselmo has an estimated net worth of $4 million.
The American heavy metal vocalist Anselmo is known as the lead singer for Pantera Superjoint, Down, Ritual and other musical projects.
Anselmo commenced his musical career in the early 80s. He first co-founded the band Samhain before joining the band Rapid Phaze in 1985 (later renamed Razor White). Amid this period, Anselmo wrote songs, played guitar, and performed vocals. He then dropped out of high school to focus on his musical career. However, he became frustrated with Razor White’s direction and left them after a year to explore other options.
In 1987, Anselmo joined the Pantera band as a vocalist. They had already released three albums when he joined. In 1988, with Anselmo as the new vocalist, Pantera released their fourth studio album, titled Power Metal.
Following the release of Power Metal, Pantera changed its image, finally signed a major record deal, and then achieved commercial success with “Cowboys from Hell”. Pantera followed up with hit albums, such as Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven, The Great Southern Trendkill and Reinventing the Steel.
After their first compilation album in 2003, Pantera split up. Anselmo was widely accused of causing communication issues within the band and neglecting his duties.
Following the disbandment of Pantera, Phil Anselmo formed Superjoint Ritual with Joe Fazzio, and Jimmy Bower in the early 1990s.
He also participated in projects such as Arson Anthem, Christ Inversion, Southern Isolation,
Viking Crown, Eibon, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals and many others.
Besides his musical projects, Phil owns Housecore Records.
In July 2022, it was announced that Anselmo would be joining bassist Rex Brown, along with Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante (as the respective fill-ins for Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul), for Pantera’s first world tour in 22 years in 2023.
In January 2023, the reformed Pantera was dropped from the German Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals due to Anselmo’s past alleged behavior
