Philip Hansen Anselmo is an American heavy metal vocalist. He is well-known as the lead singer for Pantera, Down and Superjoint, amongst other musical projects.
Anselmo was born on June 30, 1968 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
Widely regarded as one of the most iconic frontmen in heavy metal history, Anselmo is adored by fans for his animated and aggressive on-stage antics.

Besides his musical projects, Phil owns Housecore Records.
In January 2023, the reformed Pantera was dropped from the German Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals due to Anselmo’s past alleged behavior.
