Peter Gardner Ostrum is an American veterinarian and former child actor, whose only film role was as Charlie Bucket in the 1971 motion picture Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Ostrum was 12 years old when selected by talent agents for Willy Wonka.

Wonkaville is a fictional town where Charlie Bucket and his family live. Not much is known about this town except it’s home to the candy store, Charlie’s school, other buildings and a park, and last but not least home of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
Ostrum explained that he would want to have the freedom to choose his character and movie as we actor. When he returned home, his parents bought a horse, and Ostrum began working around the horse and fell in love with the Veterinary. After graduating from vet school, Ostrum began practicing veterinary.
