Peter Hitchens

Peter Hitchens is an English journalist and author. He writes for The Mail on Sunday and is a former foreign correspondent in Moscow and Washington.

Peter attended Mount House School, Tavistock, the Lens Scool, and the City of Oxford Collage before being accepted at the University of York, where he studied Philosophy and Politics. He was a member of Alcuin College and graduated in 1973. 

He has contributed to  The Spectator, The American Conservative, The Guardian, First Things, Prospect, and the New Statesman. He is deeply critical of the modern UK Conservative Party and has opposed many of their policies, including the party’s handling of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. 

He has published numerous books, including The Abolition of Britain, The Rage Against God, and The War We Never Fought.
