Peter Andre and Elen Rivas have reportedly split.
The pair started seeing each other just before Christmas, though given the fact that they share a management team and Elen was about to start a stint on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, many fans believe the whole relationship was a PR ploy.
The duo have always denied the sham rumours, though it hardly matters now because The News Of The World claims that Peter admitted he recently ended their romance with a telephone call, because he is too busy for love.
He allegedly told a friend:
“It’s just not practical for me to be in any sort of relationship at the moment.
“I did adore Elen, she is so stunning. But the fact is I just didn’t get the chance to see her in the end.
“It’s not fair for me to ask her to put up with me being on the road for weeks at a time.”
Peter also took time to assure his friend that his and Elen’s relationship was not fake, though you would think that if it was a real friend, they’d have already known that. He continued:
“I would never be part of something like that. We never did any work together because we didn’t want people thinking this was ever about publicity.”
The pair’s manager Claire Powell confirmed the split saying:
“I can confirm Peter and Elen have sadly split, but they will remain the best of friends.”
But it’s ok, she’ll have fixed him up with Kerry Katona before the week is out.
