Peggy Twomey Age and Husband – How Old Was Marty Morrissey Mother?

The exact age of Peggy Twomey is not available, but, according to reports, she was in the 90s.

She died in a single-vehicle crash as the investigators see no sign of another vehicle. Moreover, her friends mentioned that she had recently passed her driving test again. 

The post-mortem of her body will take place in Limerick University Hospital.

Marty Morrissey is an Irish sports commentator and television presenter. He was born to his mother, Peggy Twomey, and, his father whose name remains unidentified. 

17-years ago, his father lost his life to a sudden heart attack. Before the death of his mother, she used to live in a family home in Quilty, Co Clare.

Similarly, Marty Morrissey lives with his partner LizKidney in Ireland.

Peggy was married to Marty’s father (name unidentified) but, later in 2004, turned into a widow. After that, she never married again.

According to some sources on the Internet, she lived alone but never really liked it. Even on the day of her death, she was driving to reach Ennis to meet her only son. 

Peggy lived alone in her home. She had a small family consisting of her husband, her, and son Marty. But the family broke down to two after the death of her husband.

After that, neither did she marry nor give birth to other children. According to one of her friends, ” She was very independent and an absolute lady. It is a devastating tragedy both for her and Marty. He was obviously very close to his mother as an only child.”

We mentioned several times in the above paragraphs the reason behind her death.

She died in a solo car accident. On the way, to meet her son, who was waiting for her in a hotel in Ennis. 

The investigation is going on but, there are no signs of getting hit by another car.
