The basketball community is in mourning as we bid farewell to the legendary coach, Paul Webb, who left an indelible mark on the world of college basketball.
Cause of Death
Paul Webb passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 94. The iconic coach had faced health challenges, having been treated for prostate cancer several years ago.
Additionally, he underwent open-heart surgery 13 years prior.
Wife
Paul Webb’s journey in life was accompanied by a love story that spanned an incredible 72 years. He was married to his beloved wife, Charlotte Webb, who was not only his life partner but also a pillar of support throughout his coaching career.
Charlotte Webb preceded him in death, passing away two years before Paul.
Children
The Webb family extends beyond the basketball court, and Paul Webb’s legacy lives on through his four children. His oldest son, Eddie Webb, shared not only the name but also the love for the game with his father.
Eddie not only played for Paul Webb but also coached alongside him, embodying the family’s passion for basketball. The other three children are Kenneth Webb, Douglas Webb, and Deborah Webb Sanders.
