Patrick Dempsey’s parents have two other children besides him: his sisters, Mary Dempsey and Alicia Hatten. Patrick is younger in age than his sisters.
Mary Dempsey And Alicia Hatten are the sisters of Patrick Dempsey. American actor and race car driver Dempsey is best known for playing physician Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy.
He was a successful actor from the start, appearing in several movies in the 1980s, such as Loverboy and Can’t Buy Me Love (1989). He usually played supporting roles in television and films during the 1990s, such as Outbreak (1995).
Dempsey also appeared in the 2000 film Scream 3 as Detective Mark Kincaid. He successfully got the lead part in the unexpected box office hit Sweet Home Alabama (2002).
Patrick Dempsey’s Sisters Mary Dempsey And Alicia Hatten Age Gap
Patrick Dempsey is the youngest among his siblings and has an age gap of six and seven years with his sisters, Mary Dempsey and Alicia Hatten.
Dempsey was raised in the surrounding towns of Turner and Buckfield after being born in Lewiston, Maine. His father, William, was an insurance salesman, while his mother, Amanda (née Casson), worked as a school secretary.
His sister, Alicia, is the family’s eldest child, and his other sister, Mary, is the family’s middle child. So Patrick grew up with two older sisters in the family.
In April 1959, Alicia Hatten was born in the American hamlet of Buckfield, which makes her the first child of her parents and is a caring sister to her younger siblings.
A year after Hatten was born, her parents welcomed Mary Dempsey into the family. Patrick Dempsey, Amanda’s son, was born on January 13, 1966. So the three siblings might have enjoyed their childhood a lot.
Sadly, the head of the Dempsey family, an insurance salesman, passed away when Patrick was seventeen. In contrast, Amanda Dempsey, Mary’s mother, worked as a school secretary.
