Patrick Walter Brown is a Canadian politician who has served as the 51st and current mayor of Brampton since 2018. Entering politics when he won a seat on the Barrie City Council in 2000, Brown later joined the Conservative Party and became a member of Parliament in 2006.

Brampton has welcomed a new citizen. Mayor Patrick Brown and his wife Genevieve Gualtieri have announced the birth of their first child.
The mayor and new mom announced the birth of their first son, Theodore Joseph Gualtieri Brown, weighing 7 pounds and 3 ounces, on July 19.
“Genevieve and I are delighted to welcome Theodore to our family this afternoon, both mom and baby are doing well,” said Brown.
“We are both grateful to Dr. Karima Ben Omran and the excellent team at the Brampton Civic Hospital for their support and thankful for Theodore’s safe arrival.” “He is a wonderful blessing, and we are looking forward to the journey of parenthood ahead.”
