Born June 15, 1992, in Conroe, Texas, McCollum learned violin while attending elementary school and played in the school’s orchestra. He then began learning guitar and also started writing his music, mixing genres such as Texas country music, Americana, and indie rock at the age of 13.
McCollum subsequently released his first single, “Highway” on June 5, 2013, and later his debut EP A Red Town View which was also released on November 19 of the same year.
McCollum’s debuted album “The Limestone Kid” was released on February 24, 2015. The album contains eleven tracks which he wrote nine of them and the two were written by his family members.
