Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr: The Untold Story of Their Failed Marriage

Marrying within one’s circle might seem like an ancient concept but it is very much in practice in modern times. With people in the entertainment circle, it is much more unlikely for a star to get married to a person who does not work in the same space as the common practice is for stars to have relationships with other stars. The relationship between Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr is one of the many celebrity unions that have existed and like many such relationships, a day came when it all ended.

How Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr Met

Orlando Bloom, an English actor, can be rightly described as one of the most eligible men in Hollywood. After his performance in the Lord of the Rings trilogy which did wonders for his fame and visibility in the film industry, Orlando became one of the most recognizable faces in the film industry. Getting cast to play Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise only helped to consolidate his image as a sex icon.

As he started to become more popular, fans became more interested in his romantic relationships. For a while, he dated Kate Bosworth, their relationship which lasted for three years between 2003 and 2006, was not steady as they kept breaking it off and getting back together. It is believed that between 2006 and 2007, Bloom dated Penelope Cruz, but this has never been confirmed by either of them.

Miranda Kerr is the next woman he had a relationship with and this has been his longest relationship so far. Kerr is a model of Australian nationality, she is known for being the first Australian Victoria Secret model. Her career as a model began when she was 13, but she is not just a model as she also has a skincare line which is made up of products that are made from organic materials.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr were introduced by a mutual friend in 2007, for reasons best known to them, the couple decided to keep their relationship away for the public. This they did for a year but at a racecourse event in Sydney, they made their relationship public.

The Untold Story of Their Failed Marriage

This couple was together for two more years after the birth of their son, towards the end of 2013, they were no longer together and when the year came to an end they finalized their divorce.

The end of their relationship was particularly tumultuous for the actor as it was rumoured that Kerr was sleeping with pop star, Justin Bieber. When Bloom got wind of this, he and the pop star got into a brawl, an act that affected his reputation. It was also believed that Bloom had begun a relationship with Selena Gomez, the ex-girlfriend of Bieber. This messy love triangle marred the final days of Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr’s marriage.

Bloom revealed that the separation took a toll on him, especially as he had put his career on hold to build his family. The couple decided to end things on amicable terms, especially for their son who they currently raise together.
