Sadly, Oregon tight end Spencer Webb has passed away in a tragic accident, and the whole college football is mourning him.
Born in Sacrament, California, Webb played for the University of Oregon in the tight end position. He started his career with the Oregon Ducks in 2018.
Representing Jersey no. 18, Webb aspired to play football during his time at Christian Brothers high school. The entire school celebrated when he joined as a tight end for the Oregon Ducks on February 7, 2018.
Many other teams much desired Webb. Before his signing at the University of Oregon, teams such as the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, California Golden Bears, and the Florida State Seminoles offered Spencer Webb a contract, but the 6’5 235-pound tight end chose to be an Oregon Duck.

Following his passing, Spencer Webb’s death has been linked to an accident according to some Twitter posts.
News of a death investigation by the Lane County Sheriff’s office has spread, which responded to rock slides just a short distance from Triangle lake. Around 2:30 PM, they received a report of an injured person.
When they checked the scene, they learned that a 22-year-old male on a recreation trip in the area fell and struck his head. Sadly, bystanders and responding paramedics were unable to revive the young man.
The Lane County Sherrif Search and Rescue personnel assisted the paramedics in bringing the body back to the roadway because he was approximately 100 yards down a steep trail. No foul play was found on the body, and the death appears accidental.
Although the victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification, it is becoming increasingly more apparent that the body might be that of Spencer Webb. Of course, there is no way to be sure until Webb’s family informs us.

Spencer Webb was raised in a non-traditional family by his brother since young Webb was in the eighth grade. Webb had told the media that it was because of his brother’s guidance that he has become the man he is today.
Webb held that his non-traditional upbringing was teaching him lessons in life that no other experience could have and quoted it as part of his unique journey. He stated multiple times that he wouldn’t change it for the world.
It taught him to be patient, which he held as his greatest strength. He will surely be missed by his family and most definitely his brother.
He also had a girlfriend, Kelly Kay, an Instagram model. They had recently made their relationship public on Instagram.
