U.S. Marshal Peter Elliott has finally solved the case that his father John has investigated decades ago. According to him, he died in a suburb north of Boston in May at the age of 71.

He had changed his name after running away from Cleaveland. He changed his lifestyle and details of his past as well. He hid well all these years.

Though the financial reports show that, the money he stole was finished long ago and he was actually struggling during his ending days.

Police confirmed Thomas Randele aka Theodore Conrad death news. They said that he had died earlier this year in May.

One of his classmates with whom he shared an apartment for less than a year exclaimed in surprise after getting the news. He said that when he found out about the heist, he thought he was going somewhere in Europe.

But surprisingly he settled into suburban Boston without a trace of his past, said Peter Elliot. The reports also said that his intention of robbing the bank was influenced by the 1968 movie “The Thomas Crown Affair”.

Investigators say he used the name “Ted Conrad” to rip off a Cleveland, Ohio bank for $215,000 in 1969–around $1.7 million today.

It is the Steve McQueen movie about a bank executive who pulled off a $2.6 million bank heist. Furthermore, his high-end lifestyle where he drove an MG sports car, drank expensive gin, and showed off at golf and billiards is also proof that he was mimicking the character, Steve McQueen.

However, he admitted that he was Theodore Conrad in his death bed. It was when the officer got news about him whom his father tailed for his life.

Ashley Randele is the daughter of Thomas Randele. She is the single child of Thomas and Kathy.

However, there is not much information about her on the internet yet.
