John Weber was the principal of the Central Lutheran School & Preschool.
On 31 October 2021, the news of his death saddened his whole family, colleagues, and students. He died at the Lutheran Hospital. As for the cause of his death, it was COVID-19 complications.
He wrote on his Facebook page that he contracted the coronavirus despite vaccination on 7 September. He also had lung issues, making it hard for him. Additionally, he battled cancer last year.
John began working at the school in 2014 and made his way to the principal in January 2018. He spent seven long years with the school, where he worked in various positions including, director of the advancement, assistant principal, and teacher.
The school paid tribute to its principal via social media. They wrote that his absence would be felt and even asked the students to wear Wednesday as a sign of their love, support, and remembrance of Weber and his family.
On Thursday, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, Weber’s visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Similarly, the funeral service is on Friday at the church, and the burial is in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
