Obituary: Is Michael Blagg Dead? Update 2022 – Was Wife Jennifer Blagg Body Found?
Michael Blagg isn’t dead but incarcerated at Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility in Cañon City.
On 13 November 2001, his wife, 34-year-old Jennifer, and their daughter, 6-year-old Abby, went missing. That day, he went home early from the office after no one returned his call, and he eventually called 911 to report the disappearance and the pool of blood in their bedroom.
The officers examined the scene and strangely found blood on the bed, but not on the walls and the hallway. Further, they discovered some more on the family van after using Luminol. However, there weren’t any drag marks.
After a look at the crime scene, the police interviewed Michael. He denied having any idea about it. The investigators began the search but didn’t get any clue. However, they found Jennifers’ journal, which mentioned a fight with her husband – just before her disappearance.
They again asked Michael for answers, but he denied. However, investigators discovered his note, apologizing for letting the devil get a foothold in their lives. Whatsmore, the finding of thousands of hardcore pornography images was even stranger.
One day, the officers found the accused in a bathtub with wrists cut, a Bibel, and a photo of Abby and Jennifer. A note stating he didn’t murder the two was also there.
In 2002, police uncovered Jennifer’s dead body after a coworker disclosed that Michael, an engineer, was taking the trash out on the day of the mysterious disappearance. Reportedly, she died of a gunshot wound.
The officers arrested Michael for murdering his wife. As for the death of his daughter, he didn’t receive any charges as nobody found her body. In March 2004, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
However, the verdict changed after 11 years. Reportedly, the issue with one of the original jurors caused the overturn. But in February 2018, a judge again found him guilty.
