Overview of Mission Hospital in Kenya

The missionaries played a very key role in the provision of healthcare in Kenya before independence which led to the establishment of mission hospitals that have continued to serve the Kenyan population to date. Mission hospitals are faith-based institutions that provide health care. These hospitals were established by Christian missionaries.
