Oregon man Noah Madrano faced charges over the week-long missing of an Edmonton teen, Lila Smith. A 13-year-old girl who disappeared in Edmonton, Canada, 10 days ago was found in Oregon.
Noah has been arrested in linked with the alleged kidnapping. The suspect will face charges in both Canada in Oregon. He will face charges of child luring in Canada and may face extra charges as the investigation goes on.
According to the press release, the investigation involved different other law enforcement agencies in both Canada and the United States, including the FBI.
Noah Madrano Arrested For Assault And Kidnapping Charges
Oregon City police stated that the officers arrested Oregon man Noah Madrano on Saturday, and he is being held in the Clackmas County Jail. According to the jail roster, he faces Oregon state charges of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree rape, and first-degree sexual abuse.
The 13-year-old Edmonton girl was reported missing on June 24 after she was absent from school and did not return home the same afternoon. Edmonton police confirmed she had been found in Oregon on Saturday morning.
The teen was with the suspect, EPS Insp. Brent Dahleseide stated in a news conference. Portland FBI reported that they assisted with the suspect’s arrest for allegedly luring a teen from Canada to the United States.
After discovering the girl, she was taken to a hospital for a health evaluation, EPS stated. Her family was immediately informed about the scene, after which the family boarded the plane to pick up their girl.
Who Actually Is Noah Madrano?
Noah Madrano is a forty years old man from Oregon who is accused of missing the Edmonton girl case. The suspect is presently held at the Clackmas County jail and will be charged with child luring in Canada and possibly other additional offenses.
The Oregon City Police Department confirmed Noah was arrested on July 2 at the request of the FBI. On Tuesday afternoon, he will be presented in court on the Oregon States charges of Kidnapping II, rape II, and sexual abuse I.
Several other organizations were also a part of the investigation, including Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT), Oregon City Police, Northen Alberta Internt Child Exploitation Unit, and the FBI.

The accused’s family, Noah Madrano, expressed their sorrow and anguish for the teen girl. As an Oregon man faces charges over the disappearance of an Edmonton girl, his family expressed grief over the trauma the teen and her family members are facing.
Madrano’s sister stated that nothing her family could say would ease the sorrow of the Edmonton teen and her close ones. “If such words do exist, we would sincerely offer them will all the sorrow that fills our hearts,” she stated.
She also expressed the family’s greatest hope that the young person and her family are able to heal through a combination of love, support, and time. More details on Noah’s wife and children are not available as of now.
Edmonton GIrl Lila Smith Found Safe In US
Edmonton Lila Smith was last seen on Friday, June 24, in the area of 131 Avenue and 91 Street at around 8:30 a.m., next to Killarney Junior High School. Edmonton Police confirmed the teen was discovered in Oregon on Saturday, July 2.
On Monday afternoon, Lila’s father said they were driving back to Edmonton after landing in Calgary. He finally expressed his joy to finally have his daughter back in Canada in their home.
