Nipsey Hussle Parents: Meet Dawit Asghedom And Angelique Smith

Ermias Joseph Asghedom, better known as Nipsey Hussle, is an American rapper, activist, and entrepreneur.

He was born on August 15, 1985, to Angelique Smith and Dawit Asghedom. They lived in South Los Angeles’ Crenshaw area. Samiel, Samantha, and Nipsey were the couple’s three children.

Nipsey Hussle passed away on March 31, 2019, at the age of 33, from gunshot wounds.

Nipsey’s father immigrated to the United States after fleeing Eritrea’s civil war. He thinks that God sent his son Nipsey to spread the message over the world. His son’s first name signifies “God will Rise.”

Nipsey’s mother, Angelique, was obviously saddened upon hearing the news of his son’s death.

She and her other children, Samiel and Samantha, fought a protracted legal battle to gain guardianship of Nipsey’s daughter.
