Nile On January 17, 1996, Michael Wilson, a former artistic gymnast for Great Britain, was born. Throughout his career, he achieved several things, including taking home a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics for men in the horizontal bar.
At the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, he also made British gymnastics history by helping his team win a silver medal, the first-ever global medal for a British men’s team.
Wilson has also won the all-around championship in the Commonwealth Games five times, most recently in 2018. He is also remembered as the first British to win the European horizontal bar title.
