Ukraine’s representative in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship is professional mixed martial artist Nikita Andreyevich Krylov (UFC). He has been competing professionally since 2012 and has also represented M-1 Global.
As of January 24, 2023, Krylov is ranked sixth among light heavyweights in the UFC. He was raised in a Krasnyi Luch family and started studying Kyokushin Karate at the age of ten. Krylov made the switch to mixed martial arts in 2012 and has a 15-2 record to date.
On August 31, 2013, Krylov made his UFC debut against Soa Palelei at UFC 164. In a poor contest, he was defeated via third-round TKO. He attributed his weariness to anxiety and the lengthy drive from Donetsk to Milwaukee.
However, on January 25, 2014, at UFC on Fox 7, Krylov returned to form by defeating Walt Harris via a 25-second Knockout. He indicated that he would like to fight in the light heavyweight class after this victory.
