Meet Nick Swardson Musician Brother John Swardson

John Swardson Is the older brother of the 46-year-old actor and comedian Nick Swardson.

Indeed, it was not just Nick who ventured into the performing arts. Unlike the Grown Ups 2 actor, the elder Swardson prefers to lose himself in music and is a recurring member of the band Bad Blood. He never left his trustee guitar, sitting in front of gardens and trees to sing his heart out for his followers.

His evening is usually reserved for his band, as they play in smaller venues like a pub or a party. His discography is not long, with three albums, The Leaves, The Storm, and Blood Moon taking the top spots.

According to his website, his inspiration comes from his life and love for music, as he cited Sturgill Simpson, Echo, and The Bunnymen as his favorite artists. Listeners of his melodious voice are in store for a surprise as he has several songs recorded and ready for release.

In addition to singing and songwriting, he is a sucker for the outdoors, arriving at the stadium to support the local soccer and baseball matches. Lake of the Isles is one of his go-to destinations, as he likes to stay in front of the water and watches ducks float by.

For now, he seems to be missing a lady’s love as he makes his family his priority.

Despite the years between the two men, John leaves no occasions to dote on the younger man, wishing him his birthday past October. He chose a retro picture that displayed them as pre-tens when their mother looked radiant. They had similar blonde hairs that shined under the dim light as the picture came out of a celebration.

Nick Swardson’s Parents Are From Minneapolis

Actor Nick Swardson came from an upper-middle-class family in Minneapolis, near the Saint Paul area.

His dad Roger Eric Swardson was an editor and journalist who passed away in 2003 from complications resulting from a stroke. He had troubles with his health, as the fourth one was the last straw, making his way to heaven on Thanksgiving morning.

Indeed, he was a prime community member, founding the Grand Gazette while having a hand in writing for the Cincinnati Enquirer and City Pages publications. The city page called him keenly interested in other people’s lives and commemorated his time and dedication as the oldest man to write for them.

But The Swardsons were far from the ideal family as he and his wife Pamela divorced in 1989. Their three kids, Rachel, John, and Nick, had to face the aftermath and travel between the two broken homes.

The youngest of the bunch found solace in comedy when he came across improv during his education at St. Paul Central High. He embodied the character of a disturbed student, getting in trouble with the teachers for his alcohol and drug abuse. His shenanigans were getting worse by the day until he checked into a rehab program while still in school.

He managed to graduate, and he pursued his lifelong passion for humor rather than wasting away his hours in college.
