Nicholas Kouchoukos parents are Jack Kouchoukos and Barbara Kouchoukos. Nicholas surprised them with his engagement to Amrit Kapai.
He is a part of Bravo TV’s reality show Family Karma, where he has made significant appearances. His full-time job is teaching 5th-grade students at Chicago Public School.

Amrit Kapai Parents On Family Karma
Amrit Kapai parents Suresh Kapai and Lavina Kapai are Indian immigrants who moved to the US when Amrit was a child.
His father Suresh Kapai is the president of Kapai Investments LLC according to his LinkedIn profile.
At the same time, his mother Lavina Kapai is a substitute teacher at Miami-Dade Country Public Schools.
His parents admitted in an interview that they were unhappy when he declared he was a part of the LGBTQ community but over time, they accepted his sexuality.
Amrit’s father struggled as a first-generation immigrant to America, he built a life for himself in an unknown country for him.
When fans heard how openly they welcomed him and his sexuality they couldn’t stop praising him and how lucky he is to have such amazing parents.
Amrit and Nicholas Relationship
Amrit and Nicholas on Family Karma first met in Chicago. They have been together since 2012.
When Amrit made the decision to go to Florida to pursue his career as a lawyer, the two decided to stay in a long-distance relationship.
The couple was committed and wanted to build a future together. When Nicholas met Amrit’s parents, he learned about Indian culture and traditions which made their love even stronger.
But things weren’t always easy for Amrit and Nicholas. Nicholas had to adjust into the Indian family and had frequent conflicts with Amrit’s parents.
Kapai took advantage of Richa and Vishal Parvani’s engagement celebration to reveal his boyfriend to his Indian community.
He remarked in an interview during the Family Karma Season 1 finale that this is the first time he is going to bring Nicholas to this large Indian engagement celebration.
Even during the party, Nicholas and Amrit’s mother spoke candidly about how she had introduced her son to others.
They hugged, and Amrit’s mother assured Nicholas that even though his own family hasn’t yet accepted his orientation, he will always have parents in them.
They Had An Extravagant Wedding
The two officially tied the knot in April 2022 during a multi-day affair at The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia.
It was a multiple days event where the first day both the family had a welcome dinner together.
On the second day, they had a mehendi ceremony which is an Indian tradition of the grooms putting on henna on their arms.

The weekend of their marriage had decor from a greenery wall for the outdoors to romantic vibes indoors which were done by Weddings InStyle Inc.
There was amazing food from pizza in the Sangeet to shrimp, deviled eggs, and deserts by Cake’d Up by Chandani.
Amrit’s mother Lavina while was not happy with the weekend and made a comment saying it didn’t feel like a wedding weekend.
Nicholas was also affected by the comment of a guest that said it was not a real wedding.
However the grooms made it through their beautiful day and are not married.
