The Netflix series America Murder: The Family Next Door has focused on Chris Watts’ murder of his family.
Chris Watts’ mistress, Nichole Kessinger informed the police and spoke with the FBI after receiving information that he was a murderer. Watt was arrested and charged with murder on August 15, 2018.

Nichol Kessinger, Chris Watts’s mistress, and girlfriend is in hiding after her partner killed his pregnant wife and children. He is currently serving a five-life sentence plus 48 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
Police were unable to reveal the extent of her involvement in the case, so she was not imprisoned. She assumed a new identity and fled from everyone she knew after assisting the officer in Chris’ arrest.
Watt, on the other hand, revealed in 2021 that she had written a letter for him inside the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin, using her new name.
Carter, a fellow inmate, revealed the information to the media in exclusive interviews. “He told me she had written a letter for him asking to clear some things between them,” Carter said, “but he didn’t tell me what exactly she wrote in there.”
Watt also claims that prison authorities discovered what was going on and punished him by suspending his email and carefully monitoring all of his emails.
