Brian Flore Complaint Supported By Text Messages
Brian Flore’s complaint was further assisted by the Text message disclosed by Bill Belichick, a coach of the New England Patriots. He inadvertently provided evidence for former Miami Dolphins coach and Patriots defensive player’s lawsuit.
In a private text message exchange, Belichick revealed that the New York Giants had secretly decided to hire Brian Daboll, the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator at the time.

But they were continuing their interview process with Brian Flores to meet the NFL’s, Rooney Rule. The interview was just an act as teams required to interview at least two minority candidates for head coaching openings.
Belichick texted Flores to congratulate him, but then realized he should have texted Daboll. This erroneous text exchange took place three days before Flores’ interview with New York, indicating that the interview was a sham.
Brian Flores Lawsuit Explained
The former Dolphins head coach has issued a racial discrimination class-action lawsuit against the NFL, the Giants, and the rest of the league’s teams.
Flores’ lawsuit claims that the league discriminated against him and other Black coaches because of their race. They were ignored despite their talent for the positions as head coaches, offensive and defensive coordinators, quarterbacks coaches, and general managers.

The suit also included a number of other allegations, including the one against Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. According to him, Ross attempted to persuade Flores to violate NFL tampering rules and meet with a “prominent quarterback” in 2019.
Flores also claims that Ross promised to pay the coach $100,000 for each loss in 2019. Ross wanted the team to go all-in for the No. 1 pick. Flores refused, and the team finished 5-11 with a 5-4 record in the final nine games.
Flores claims that in the Giants’ case, he was a token interview to satisfy the Rooney Rule rather than a legitimate candidate for the team’s now-filled head coach position.
Flores, who is Black, was fired by the Dolphins last month after leading the team to a 24-25 record over three years. They went 9-8 in their second consecutive winning season but did not make the playoffs during his tenure.
