NFL Back Together Weekend
NFL Back Together Saturday has reverted to Back Together Weekend as ten franchises will organize the proceedings on Sunday, i.e., 30th July.
YouTube will be sponsoring the event this year. They will be the third sponsor in three years. Previously, Gatorade took the helm in 2021, and Wilson powered the affair in 2022.
Back Together Saturday 2023 started in 2021 as a new national media property after a pandemic inflicted 2020.
The plan panned out perfectly in 2021 and 2022, as training camps kicked off on Tuesday, and the acclimation period after five-day no-padding sessions needed on Saturday. Hence, we got the Back Together Saturday as the first Saturday training session for the preseason training.
The marketing and football schedules matched perfectly to create all-inclusive media events for all 32 teams.
NFL and NFLPA implemented a change in the rule in April 2023. Coaches were granted permission to schedule the day off on the last acclimation period.
Due to this change, nine teams have given a day off for athletes on Saturday. They will be taking the field on Sunday. It forced to change the name to ‘Back Together Weekend.’
