NFL logo redesign 2023 of the Cleveland Browns features a Dawg motif. NFL Browns new logo was inspired by The Dawg Pound section of their home venue.
NFL logo changes are made so that it can comply with present-day modern art as well as the taste of the new generation of football enthusiasts.
NFL logo redesign is an attempt to modify the current logo without losing the true essence of the franchise. On the other hand, creating a new trademark opens a sea of opportunities to sell their brand’s merchandise and generate revenue.
Logos play a vital role for the clubs because they are drawn at the 50-yard line at the gridiron during the matches, whether it be a regular season game or the league championship.
The emblems are a simple way to represent the teams visually. No talking or any gesture is required. Take one glance at it, and you will know which team they represent.
It is quite common for the clubs of the National Football League to update their emblem.
During the redesign, several factors are taken into account such as color gradient, typography, and symbols related to the team.
NFL Logo Redesigns
New NFL team logos include the dog logo updated by Cleveland Browns on 12 June. The Browns finalized the new symbol for their team through fan voting.
Cleveland Browns dog logo contest was announced by the franchise in the spring of April. The interested creators began to submit their designs, and finally, in the earliest of summer, the Browns picked the one with the most voting on social media as their new emblem.
The credit for the Cleveland Browns new dog logo goes to Houston Mark, a talented graphic designer based in Denton, Texas. He took to Twitter to share his joy and express gratitude for everyone who voted for him and gave him immense support.
It is an effort made by the franchises to maintain the brand image whilst forming a bond with the fans with the unveiling of the Cleveland Browns new logo 2023.
Besides the Browns, even a beer company named Red Dog uses the English bulldog face as their face. Not only the alcoholic drink but their red dog beer logo upside down created buzz for quite some time.
Browns Logo History
In the year 1944, the Cleveland Browns franchise came into existence. And they introduced their first emblem 4 years later, in 1948.
Cleveland Browns old logo was an elf standing with the football. Until 1969 elf was used as their symbol. In 1970, the team decided to use the helmet as their trademark.
The earliest ones were red in color. Since 1986, they painted it orange, the warm and joyful color that symbolizes positive energy.
Over the years Browns new helmet logo got updated, through the addition of new shades of colors and changes in the grille of the helmet.
The redesigning may happen in any NFL team when there are anniversaries or any special occasions. For instance, alternate emblems were presented as the 2023 NFL draft team logos in Kansas City this year.
Once, Brandon Hubschman, a noted designer blended the NFL with NBA and created a new set of symbols.
In April 2020, Los Angeles Rams’ introduced their new logo but it did not see a heartwarming welcome from the fans. In fact, it angered their fans and the whole football community The Guardian reported.
Similarly, that year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers also launched their new logo. Another team, that updated their logo is Seattle Seahawks in 2012.
Philadelphia Eagles Logo Redesign
Eagles new logo 2023 is facing towards the right side unlike the previous one. A graphic designer named Emily Morgan recreated the logo on the 10th of May.
When she posted it on TikTok, it created a buzz among football lovers from around the globe. The bird gang’s trademark faces in the opposite direction as compared to all other NFL franchises’ logos.
Per one user it is a sign that the team is facing their opponent head-on. The current logo head of the Eagles is deemed obsolete by many fans. So, it came as a relief to them.
There is no shadow of a doubt that some people loved it and many others were not too pleased by the emblem.
Interestingly, the official social handle of the Philadelphia Eagles commented on the Philly Eagles new logo, “The eye tho” along with eyes emoji.
Even the Kansas City Chiefs came forward and requested a logo for their team, to which Morgan responded by saying that it was in the process.
The 19-second-long video showcasing new Eagles logo has surpassed 263,300 views and it received more than 16,000 views along with 1212 comments.
Eagles new logo made by Morgan has more curves on the feather of the bird’s head. Philadelphia Eagles logo change completed by Emily expresses the calmness of the national bird of the United States with its beak closed.
Eagles logo change has not been officially announced by the team despite so much hubbub about it on the internet.
History Of The Philadelphia Eagles Logo
Eagles design logo first came out in 1933, the same year the club was established by Jeffrey Lurie. That symbol came into use in 1935.
The Philadelphia Eagles redesign happened seven times in 1936, 1943, 1944, 1948, 1969, 1973, 1987, and 1996. Eagles logo change occurred several times but the U.S. state symbol American bald eagle was always included.
But one time, the emblem that they used from 1973 to 1986 saw more modifications, where only the wing of the Eagle was displayed on the green helmet.
Through the years of Eagles logo redesign, alteration in color was visible. It went from blue to solid green.
Then there was the addition of white accents, orange, and brown. Currently, it has white and gray color in the Eagles’ head.
The thick black and blue outer lining has completed the look, making it chic and modern.
Steelers Logo Redesign
Pittsburgh Steelers logo redesign has occurred 3 times officially. New Steelers logo was also created by Emily on the 18th of April.
Emily Morgan creates NFL logos and uploads it on her Instagram page. However, it has not been used by the team as of now. Morgan, who has redesigned logos for almost all teams, has not left out the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She shared her craft with the world on 18 April through social media. It has a vast difference from the previous one because this time, she separated the yellow hypocycloids into two parts.
After that, she created an S-shaped structure that enclosed the previously disconnected diamond.
Then, Emily filled the S-shape with black color and placed the blue and orange hypocycloids outside it, which looked like stars and complemented the logo.
It appears that Steelers approved of the symbol because they commented with an eyes emoji and a fire sign under her upload.
The present-day logo modified in 2002 is colorful with 3 colorful hypocycloids, yellow, orange, and blue.
Changes In Steelers Logo
Firstly, the adjustment in the trademark happened in 1962. It became the talk of the town. But, 7 years later, they altered it yet again in 1969.
Lastly, the team emblem saw a slight change in 2002 including the addition of a black outlining on the circular edge of the team emblem.
Steelers play under AFC North Division. The inception of one of the oldest clubs of the league dates back to 1933. In 1945, they launched their logo which appeared like an oval badge.
The team name was written inside it. In order to be relevant to modern days aesthetics, the logo underwent a few modifications.
The current emblem of Steelers is inspired by the Steel Mark and represents the steel industry. Blue portrays the scrap steel, whereas red and yellow symbolizes the iron ore and metallurgical coal.
NFL Rookies Draw logos
NFL rookies draw team logos from their core memory without looking at the pictures. 1st overall pick Bryce Young drew the logo of his team Carolina Panthers.
Bryce’s drawing of the Panthers logo was hilarious. He also accepted that whoever was watching the video was probably thinking that anyone could make it better.
Likewise, the 2nd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, C.J. Stroud of Houston Texans gave a disclaimer, “I’m not an artist” before showcasing his drawing.
Arizona Cardinals’ Clayton Tune jokingly claimed that he drew a nice version of the bird compared to the mean aggressive bird of his team’s emblem.
Interestingly, Jayden Reed, the wide receiver of the Green Bay Packers drew a C instead of G which is their trademark. But he apologized to the Packers fans and gave it a 2.

For example, the Indianapolis Colts’ Anthony Richardson, 4th pick of the 2023 NFL Draft received praise for his diagram. However, it should be noted Colts have one of the easiest logos which is just a horseshoe.
