Eric Holland, who is a driver and 57 years old, attempted to escape the police officers but was tased during a traffic stop near the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Thursday.
During an arrest on Thursday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department discovered human remains inside a man’s truck, according to KLAS, KTLA’s sister station in Las Vegas.
Holland was then caught a short time later after officers discovered large coolers in his truck bed. According to accounts, that’s when they uncovered human remains, including a severed head.

The details of Eric Holland’s whereabouts are yet to be explored.
Likewise, a warrant was issued for Holland in 2019 for theft, embezzlement of a motor vehicle, and other unrelated offenses, according to court records.
Holland failed not to show up for a scheduled court appearance on Christmas Day.
He’s also facing a charge of open murder. His next court appearance is on Monday.
The investigative team at KLAS is attempting to find out more about this case, including who the victim might be.

As for the details of how Eric Holland was caught, it was around 3:42 p.m. on Thursday, officers attempted to stop a pickup vehicle near Tropicana Avenue and Duneville Street, but the driver fled. The Metropolitan Police Department’s air unit followed the driver and witnessed him exchange vehicles, according to a statement.
When officers attempted to stop the second truck, the driver ran but was later apprehended near the 4200 block of Rochelle Avenue, according to police. Eric Holland was identified as the man who flung stuff at officers and attempted to flee before being apprehended.
Both of the trucks Holland used to flee the cops had been reported stolen previously.
