Andrey Sukhovetskiy, aged 47, was a Major General of the Russian army. He was a Spetsnaz commander as well as a deputy chief of the 41 Army in Novosibirsk.
Sukhovetskiy was actively involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He was leading the armed forces team that was directed by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
