New York Yankees’ cheating letter got unsealed in 2022. Here is the detail on the subject.
In the wake of talk of the New York Yankees’ World Series drought, Brian Cashman defends the team, citing a ‘cheating scenario in the team’s 2017 defeat to the Houston Astros.
The New York Yankees are competing for their first World Series win since 2009, but GM, Brian Cashman believes there should be one notable exception when it comes to talking about championship droughts.
New York Yankees Cheating Letter Unsealed 2022 – What Happened To Brian Cashman?
Fans throughout baseball, but particularly in Houston, have long demanded that the letter be opened. A couple of Astros supporters heckled Manfred on the field before Game 1 of last year’s World Series.
The Yankees are chasing their 28th World Series championship in 2022, and general manager, Brian Cashman is still talking about 2017. He didn’t step back in saying the Yankees would have won the World Series that year if the Astros hadn’t cheated.
The controversy, according to Cashman, not only made Houston’s victory illegitimate but was also the sole reason the Yankees failed to reach the World Series that season.
People have started commenting on Twitter about Cashman’s statement. Some comment read, “Right as I was reading Brian Cashman’s full excuse… oops I mean quote.. about not making the World Series since 2009, a notification for Bryce Harper hitting a HR popped up on my screen.”
Others read, “Thank you for giving me material for my show today. It should be fun, and there will be lots of hand gestures.”
Learn About New York Yankees Cheating Allegations From Astros Fan
The United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals shut down the Yankees and Major League Baseball on Monday, ruling that a letter from commissioner Rob Manfred to the Yankees addressing alleged cheating must be released.
Astro fans, who are Yankees’ probable haters were ecstatic. The Yankees and MLB have resisted the letter’s public distribution, claiming it will harm the team’s reputation.
Astro fans anticipate or at the very least hope – that this letter will disclose much more than the Yankees’ unlawful use of a dugout phone in 2017.
