Neal Bledsoe Announces His Exit From GAF
Neal Bledsoe recently announced his departure from Great American Family. According to the People, he is leaving in support of the LGBTQ community.
His decision came after Candace Cameron Bure’s controversial “traditional marriage” comments last month. Bure told The Wall Street Journal that GAF would keep the traditional marriage concept at the core of storytelling.
Bledsoe, on the other hand, shared that his support for the community is unconditional because they were the ones who provided him with refuge and became using light for him when he struggled with a highly narrow definition of masculinity as a young man.
He added that he could not continue business as usual or “take comfort from nor give refuge to those who excuse exclusion and promote division of any shape or form.”
He continued his statement by saying that he could never forgive himself for continuing his relationship with a network that excludes the LGBTQIA+ community.
