Kobe Bryant
The former Lakers’ SG/SF tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash is a 5x NBA Champion and wore the No. 24 jersey and NBA 2K24 is the perfect timing.
It would be a perfect tribute to one of the greats of the game and having him as the cover would be the perfect gesture to his fans and the NBA world.
Even off the court he had a significant impact on people and is the perfect athlete to represent the game and would continue his legacy.
Nikola Jovic
The NBA MVP 2020-21 and 2021-2022 is the perfect candidate for being featured as the cover athlete.
The reigning MVP has gone on to the NBA Finals this season as well and is averaging 24.5 PPG in the 2022-23 season and might win the individual award for the third consecutive time.
Stephen Curry
Even though he’s already featured on the cover for NBA 2K16, he is also another candidate to be featured this time out.
Averaging 29.4 PPG and 6.3 APG, he had an amazing season and is a reigning NBA Champion as of now. In addition, he was named the NBA Finals MVP last season.
Jayson Tatum
The 25-year-old SF/PF is averaging 30.1 PPG with 4.6 APG this time out and is the only shining light in the Celtics’ dressing room.
The prodigy is often compared to Kobe Bryant and with his age in mind, he could be the role model that the next generation can look up to.
D’Angelo Russell
Minnesota’s PG has had a good season this time and showcased his individual skills and talents with an average 17.8 PPG and a 6.1 APG.
Similar to Tatum, his age and potential could be used as a fresh choice for the cover.
LeBron James
The 38-year-old is the leading scorer of all time (38,652) and surpassed the record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387) this season.
It is not an easy feat to become the highest-scoring player in the game’s history and being the cover athlete would be just like icing on the cake.
When Is NBA 2k24 Coming Out?

- NBA 2K22 – September 10, 2021
- NBA 2K21 – September 4, 2020
- NBA 2K20 – September 6 , 2019

If we follow the trend, the successor to 2K23 will probably launch around 4-15th as it has done.
No official release date has been disclosed as of yet and all dates are speculations by the fans of the series and can expect the official announcement this month or in July.
The fans can expect several improvements and changes for the new game with an updated soundtrack for the game. The game will keep on adding features and updates throughout the year.
A short demo of the game was always released before the actual release of the game where players could try the game and choose whether to update the latest version.
As of now, NBA 2K24 will not roll out any demo for the game.
Is NBA 2K24 Cross Platform?
NBA2k24 is most likely to have a cross platform. Since other EA games like Madden 24, PGA24 has cross play, NBA will also follow the pattern.
NBA 2k23 did not have a cross play feature which can be a major upgrade for the new version.
It means the players can play the game against/with each other even with different gaming platforms.
Gamers with platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and other media can all play simultaneously without any hindrance.
Major sports game series like Madden and FIFA have already added cross-platform support to their game and have been well received by the players.
even though other games had already joined the race to make it available for every platform.
This time, the NBA 2K24 cross-play can be expected since 2K has already ventured into cross-platform gaming with PGA Tour 2K23.
Players can expect no problems with Xbox and PS4 to be compatible with the game as 2K23 was also released across all platforms.
Apart from the PlayStation and Xbox series, players on PC will have to wait a little longer to take note of the game’s minimum and recommended requirements.
With no official announcement on PC requirements, a pre-order for the game wouldn’t be the wisest of decisions, and chances of having NBA 2K24 next-gen on PC are dim.
