Nathan Apodaca Ethnicity, Where Is The Tiktok Star Originally From?

Mexican-Northern Arapaho-American Nathan Apodaca resides in Idaho Falls, Idaho, in the United States.

He became well-known during the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak due to a video he put on the Chinese company ByteDance’s video-sharing social networking platform TikTok.

Nathan Apodaca Ethnicity, Where Is The Tiktok Star Originally From?

Nathan Apodaca is a man of multiple talents, from TikTok Star to Skater.

The three most notable ones are lip-syncing to Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 smash song “Dreams,” skateboarding along an Idaho highway, and drinking Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice straight from the bottle, all one at once.

But the popular TikTok user can also battle fires, bag and stack potatoes, and embroider beanies just as well as anyone.

Apodaca’s internet stardom even sparked interest in Fleetwood Mac when his aforementioned “Dreams” video went viral on Sept. 25; it currently has 19 million views and 3.7 million likes (and rising). Since his video became a hit, “Dreams” has seen a more than doubling in streams and a nearly tripling in sales.

Apodaca, 39, works as a worker at a potato warehouse in his native Idaho when he isn’t teaching young people on the famous social video app TikTok how to dance to classic songs. Though his mother is from the Northern Arapaho tribe in Wyoming and his father is of Mexican ancestry, he was born and raised there.

Since the epidemic, “we’ve been working on getting potatoes out to whoever needs them,” Apodaca told the Los Angeles Times through Zoom on Thursday. Apodaca felt he needed to speak with the main boss at the potato warehouse, where his father works, as his online fame grew.

Apodaca is a native Mexican and always respects both sides of his dad’s and mother’s heritage. The TikToker’s mother is from the Northern Arapaho tribe in Wyoming, while his father is of Mexican ancestry.

The feather tattoo represents his mom’s Native side of the family on his head, which also features the Northern Arapaho flag. Additionally, he intends to get a second tattoo on the other side to honor his Mexican father.

The famed TikToker was born in Idaho Falls and grew up on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming, USA.

Is Nathan Apodaca Married: Meet His Wife And Family

According to the reports, the celebrated TikTok star Nathan Apodaca married his wife Estela Chavez and had a child in February 2022.

Daughters Angelia, 16, and MaKyla, 13, were already born to Apodaca, 38, and Chavez, 40, is the mother of Andres, 16, who was born to Apodaca and Chavez in a prior relationship. Apodaca tells PEOPLE that the pair has been hoping to grow their family.

Apodaca tells PEOPLE that although he was “shocked and startled” when he first learned he would become a father once more, he is looking forward to family outings with a little child.

Chavez and Apodaca initially came into contact in 2000 when they both began working at the same potato warehouse, Apodaca previously revealed to PEOPLE. As Chavez was still learning English and Apodaca didn’t speak Spanish, they first had problems communicating.

He told PEOPLE in November that they could get beyond the language barrier and “hit it off” and that Apodaca later proposed to the couple and their children while they were on vacation in Las Vegas.

Apodaca used to go by the handle @doggface208 on Musical.ly, which was TikTok’s last name. Makyla and Angelia, his two daughters, convinced their father to download the app.

When Makyla, his youngest child, arrived for a visit from Montana, where the girls reside with their mother, she was engaged in the app.

Wow, that looks pretty fantastic, I thought as I watched her perform some of the dances, Apodaca remarked. “I immediately said, “I know I could accomplish that. Then she says, “Yeah, right,”

Apodaca became fixated. His silly, easygoing demeanor fits the dance tasks in the game perfectly.

His daughter Makyla eventually gave in and assisted him in creating an account, just as Musical.ly underwent a name change to TikTok in November 2017.

Apodaca experimented with “The Git Up,” a dance move popularized by TikTok user Harvey Bass to a song of the same name, using the username @doggface208. Makyla rolled backward on her dad’s skateboard while filming him dancing to the country song. Apodaca had 100,000 likes and 700,000 views in less than 24 hours.

Although the TikToker is now well-known for being a lover of Fleetwood Mac (his mother reportedly enjoys Stevie Nicks), he enjoys listening to a wide variety of music. He struggled to think of a genre that he didn’t want.

Nathan Apodaca Journey to Become A Famous Tiktoker

Apodaca gradually accumulated 132,000 followers on his doggface208 account until TikTok banned him for video marketing his goods and beanies at the end of the previous year. He has opened that account with the insistence of his younger daughter.

A self-described stoner, he converted to the @420doggface208 account in January and gradually gained followers for his vintage songs and upbeat outlook on life.
