What Is Jeff Gordon Now? Questions arise as he is missing from the Fox Sports booth in the NASCAR race.Learn what we know about him.
Jeffery Michael Gordon is the Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports and a former professional stock car racing driver from the United States.
He is widely recognized as one of the most important drivers in NASCAR history, having contributed to the sport’s mainstream appeal.
Where Is Jeff Gordon Now In 2022
Following Waltrip’s retirement, Gordon and Joy announced races as a duo in 2020, before Clint Bowyer joined the squad in 2021.
That trio, however, only lasted for Fox’s share of the 2021 season, as Gordon opted to retire from announcing NASCAR races.
Hendrick Motorsports enticed him back as Vice-Chairman of the team.
He took over the post in mid-2021 when NBC took over Fox’s coverage.
It worked well, as he helped drive the team to two slots in the championship race in Phoenix, with Kyle Larson taking the title in 2021.
This is what Jeff Gordon is doing today, and that is why he is no longer announcing NASCAR races for Fox.
Jeff Gordon will leave the FOX Sports booth in 2022 to become vice chairman of Hendrick Motorsports.
Jeff Gordon: “Now that I’m working on the business side of Hendrick Motorsports, I take a lot of pride whenever any of our teams win. Last year, I was just as excited in our victory lane celebrations as I was when I drove.”
