Naresh Goyal (born 29 July 1950) is an Indian businessman who is best known as the founder and chairman of the airline Jet Airways. In 1993, he founded Jet Airways, which he continues to operate today. Following the initial public offering (IPO) of Jet Airways in 2005, Forbes magazine ranked him as the sixteenth wealthiest person in India, with a net worth of $1.9 billion at the time. With over 26 years of experience in the civil aviation industry, he is an expert in his field. As a result of his leadership, Jet Airways has risen to become one of India’s most favoured carriers. 

In October 2008, following a period of turmoil in the airline industry during the second half of 2008, Naresh Goyal joined forces with his prominent rival Vijay Mallya’s Kingfisher Airlines, entering into an agreement that would rationalise the operation of routes, the sharing of codes, prices and availability, fuel management, and ground handling, thereby making Airindia not only the largest market player, but also the most profitable. The Indian Competition Commission has started an investigation to determine if this agreement is anti-competitive.
