After graduating, she continued with her interests in comedy and acting, moving to Chicago to become a part of The Second City, where she developed her skills performing with the troupe.
Many of the troupe’s students would find success in comedy, and she followed the direction of many of its alumni as she auditioned successfully to become a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” (SNL). The show follows the lives of employees working in a fictional paper office, and has a documentary format, with the characters being aware of the camera crew and often participating in interviews akin to reality shows. During her time there, she played the role of a real estate agent and the former girlfriend of Carell’s character.
