Naked and Afraid of Love cast have now returned to their regular life after the show ended. Naked and Afraid of Love cast consist of Britt, Candice and 12 others.
A spin-off of Naked and Afraid, Naked and Afraid of Love, hosted by Jake Nodar, premiered on Discovery+ on August 22, 2021, featuring 16 naked strangers seeking true love.
The first season was set in the beautiful Philippine islands, with 8 men and 8 women, emotionally and physically vulnerable and forced to depend on each other to survive.
Dropped in the middle of nowhere, conveniently by a beach, the 16 single people try to access each other in most of the first episode.
Each participant spent their first day trying to start a fire and finish a shelter partially constructed for them. And in almost all cases, fans witness at least some chemistry.
As the days pass, much of the connection wears off when other discomfort and hunger set in. That’s when the pair are told to move on.
Naked And Afraid Of Love Cast Where Are They Now?
Naked and Afraid of Love cast are no longer together. The cast members are currently focused on their personal and professional life.
The 16 singles participated in the reality dating series, hoping to find true love. However, things didn’t go as planned.
And though the show was more concerned with the dating aspect than the survival aspect, the pairs messed up in many ways. Connections were made, but it didn’t last long.
In the first episode, a Brooklyn firefighter, Barak, had an accidental erection when he saw the super-confident Lauren for the first time.
The two had an instant connection. Later, Lauren had enough of him and was attracted to a former NAA contestant Michael, when she and Barak ran into Chrystal and Michael.
Lauren appears to be single now, thriving professionally as Area Manager based in Los Angeles.
Candice Liang, the Pageant Queen, was also among the 8 single women who participated in the series to find her Mr. Right. She paired up with Bennett, but their connection didn’t go well.
The beauty then found her connection with Cyrstal.
Moreover, Britt found she was attracted to Bennett, even though he was a bit younger than her, but their relationship also didn’t work.
Bennett Murphy
Bennett Murphy works as a bartender and a part-time youth soccer coach. His relationship status is single as evidenced by his social media posts.
Originally from South Carolina, Murphy seeks a girl who is adventurous and worries less about other people’s perceptions. Well, his relationships didn’t work in Naked and Afraid of Love.
He kept drama-free, cultivating a good-guy image throughout the show.
The soccer coach was initially paired up with Candice, a former Miss Hawaii. However, he later became attracted to Britt.
Despite his interest in both women, none of the connections worked out for him, and he left the show single.
Most recently, Murphy was spotted in Hermosa Beach, California. He shared a stunning picture of himself with his “South Bay uncles” on May 27, 2023, on Instagram.
Britt Whitmire
Britt Whitmire is a part-time model based in Los Angeles. She is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina.
She joined Discovery’s dating show as a 32-year-old working as an HR professional and looking for someone who would join her in all her spontaneous adventures.
Whitmire has an extremely outgoing personality and loves to travel and explore the outdoors.
In many interviews, she admitted that she was hoping to find true love when she joined the show. Eventually, she and a fellow contestant, Michael, paired up.
But their connection was dogged by intense arguments. Britt was very upset when she found that Michael had a girlfriend when he joined the reality show, yet he never mentioned it.
The pair later split amicably. Whitmire is currently single and focused on her modeling career.
Candice Liang
The Pageant Queen Candice Liang serves as an International Consultant for United Nations. She is also a founder, coach, and therapist for I’m Listening, LLC.
Moreover, she is a guest lecturer at the National University of Singapore, where she joined in January 2018.
Candice can also be found posing on fashion shoots for New York Fashion Week, Maxim, SavFaire Magazine, and more.
She is a former Miss Bikini Hawaii and Miss Ocean 2018. In addition to her titles, Liang holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Honolulu, Hawaii, and also possesses an MBA degree.
Liang said joining the cast of Naked and Afraid of Love was one of the wildest and craziest things she’s ever done in her life.
She did indeed find that special one on the show when she fell hard for fellow contestant, Crystal, who also reciprocated the feelings. The two walked out of the show together.
“Can I ask if y’all stayed together after the show or at least friends?” a fan asked in one of her Instagram posts.
The beauty was kind enough to reply, “Thank you so much for watching and checking in.” “She’s stuck with me for the rest of her life,” she concluded.
Cassalei Jackson
28-year-old Cassalei Jackson is the daughter of actress Shar Jackson and Corey Jackson. She has a daughter, Mariah, with Zoe 101 actor Chris Massey.
Before joining Naked and Afraid for Love, Jackson appeared in TV shows like Like After (2010) and Hollywood Today Live (2016).
Quite the claim to fame, she joined the dating show to find someone with whom she could be truly honest. She had made it clear that she was not interested in casual dating.
She seemingly built a connection with fellow cast Jay on the show. But the pair only lasted for a week in the real world.
After the show ended, Jackson got close with fellow contestant, Stefen. They even shared a kiss together.
In the reunion episode, she admitted to going to New York and staying at Stefen’s apartment.
Later, Cassalei shared she was seeing someone else.
Chelsea Bellini
Chelsea Bellini is a professional photographer based in New York City. She is originally from Houston, Texas.
After a series of failed relationships, Bellini joined the Discovery show to find a Hercules who will treat her with respect. It is not acceptable for the beauty to be someone’s backup.
The photographer still remembers the day she got the phone call asking if she wanted to be a part of the dating show when she was in her room in Texas.
Looking back, the photographer says she was very grateful to have had the opportunity to experience such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“Although I went in looking for love, I came out mentally stronger and learned sooo much about myself. Did I find love on the island> Self-love for sure,” she wrote on IG on March 4, 2023.
Crystal Bui
Crystal Bui joined Naked and Afraid of Love cast as a 29-year-old life coach from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was seeking someone spiritual and adventurous.
When she once visited her aunt and uncle, they were watching Naked and Afraid. She thought it would be amazing to challenge her body, mind, and spirit on a show like that.
Shortly after, somebody on social media reached out to interview her for the show, and the coach was puzzled about where they had found her.
She found her connection with former Miss Hawaii, Candice. They showed great chemistry and were one of the most loved couples on the show.
The two managed to stick together until the end of the show.
As of this writing, there is no supporting evidence that the two are still together or have broken up. Neither Crystal nor Candice features each other on their social media.
David Girton
David Girton is a surf instructor from San Diego, California. He is a self-described mellow guy with a bit of a Peter Pan complex who is very close to his mother.
People may remember the surfer from his appearance in Big Brother Season 15, where he had a short-lived on-screen fling with fellow Big Brother houseguest, Aaryn Gries.
Early in Naked and Afraid of Love, he is coupled up with Rachel, with whom he swiftly becomes dependent for even the tiniest things.
Slowly, things between the pair didn’t go well, and they went their separate ways.
After the show ended, Girton continued his job as a surf instructor.
Jay Simms
Jay Simms is a delivery man from Maryland. He is currently a model at Proof Modeling Agency.
The model quickly built a connection with Cassalei only to split up almost immediately after filming. He appeared to have stopped paying attention to her even before the flight.
“Jay and I lasted a week in real world. Our hotel rooms were right next to each other and he didn’t talk to me at all,” Jackson wrote on Instagram.
But we found there was a good reason for Simms’ strange behavior. Jackson allegedly kissed Stefen.
“I thought Jay had a problem with commitment, but for Cassalei to cheat with Stefen? For shame,” wrote a Reddit user.
On November 22, 2021, Simms posted a YouTube video titled “THE REAL REASON WHY JUNGLE JAY AND CASSALEI BREAK UP”, explaining what really happened between them.
Lauren Bonner
Lauren Bonner serves as an Area Manager at Honey Birdette based in Los Angeles. She is a natural leader and wears her heart on her sleeve.
She joined the dating show in search of a partner who is trustworthy and means what they say.
Bonner had an awkward encounter with Barak in the first episode. She later gets attracted to Michael.
The event manager had a short-lived fling with the former NAA contestant. Bonner and Michael later get separated.
After the show, she continued her work as an Area Manager. It appears she has opted to stay away from the limelight as she is not active on social platforms, including Instagram.
Michael Dietrich
Originally from Alberta, Canada, Michael Dietrich is a strength and conditioning coach. He loves adventure and is a dad to his dog, BearBear.
Not a big fan of television, the outdoorsy first watched Naked and Afraid at a bar in 2018, where he saw himself winning the show.
He then decided to try stripping down and survive 21 days in Colombian woods after being challenged on Instagram.
Though the adventurer didn’t find his special one on the show, looks like Dietrich found love after all.
He regularly shares loving pictures of himself with his partner, Nicole Mundle, on Instagram. Both are outdoorsy and love exploring new places and adventures.
Nelson Monroig
Nelson Monroig is a video game developer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He works as XR Hub Technical Operations Lead at Meta.
The 30-year-old is also a freelance Production Operations Manager. Monroig is currently single as evidenced by his social media posts.
Last year, he attended the ADCOLOR Conference and awards. The entire weekend was devoted to diversity and inclusion in creative industries.
Most recently, the video game developer was spotted having a great time in Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
He also shared several joyous pictures and clips from the event on his Instagram.
Rachel Strohl
Rachel Strohl is a social media marketer living in Oahu, Hawaii. She is a professional freediver and can dive 40 meters underwater in a single breath.
Adding more, she is an Ocean Advocate, Freedive Instructor, and Yachtie. Besides Naked and Afraid of Love, she has also been a part of Naked and Afraid Season 15.
She was paired up with David on the dating show but the two didn’t get along.
Speaking about her experience on the show, the freediver said she only got a taste of survival doing the show. She later joined Naked and Afraid Season 15, to get more of it.
“I’m looking for more of that challenge and I’m looking to push myself and to grow through this experience,” Rachel Strohl said to the camera.
Currently, she is in a committed relationship. She occasionally shares beautiful pictures of herself with her partner on Instagram.
Stefen D’Angelica
Stefen D’Angelica is a model and actor repped by Bella Agency. He was on WE tv’s Hustle and Soul along with his identical twin brother, Dominic D’ Angelica.
He and his brother also worked at Chef Lawrence Page’s Brooklyn restaurant The Pink Tea Cup.
After ending a five-year relationship, D’Angelica joined the dating show to make a fresh start and find a loving partner.
Sadly, his quest for love only got him a brief encounter with Cassie’s lips, which ultimately ended Jay and Cassalei’s on-island romance.
Going through his Instagram post, it appears the hunk is already taken. He occasionally shares pictures of his sweetheart on Instagram.
“You two look amazing,” a fan wrote in the comment section. “So basically they are NOT single,” another pinned.
Arielle Simonee
Arielle Simonee is a property manager from Detroit, Michigan. Currently in her early 30s, the beauty is also involved in modeling and lives in Los Angeles, California.
She joined the cast of Naked and Afraid of Love to find someone who is attentive to her and her needs. She is aware of her wants and speaks her mind without hesitation.
Simonee had a wonderful time challenging herself in the show, though she didn’t find a match. Remember how she and Steffen tried to make a fish trap?
Arielle is pretty active on Instagram, where she has garnered nearly 6,000 followers.
She regularly promotes businesses, products, and services on her IG page. The model is also involved in affiliate marketing and brand partnerships.
Simonee has worked for clothing brands such as Chic Affair Fashion and Femi. Not to mention, she is a fitness enthusiast and loves her gym life.
Barak Raz
Barak Raz is a firefighter from Brooklyn, New York. Currently, in his mid-30s, the hunk is a motorcycle enthusiast.
He embarked on this journey of survival and love with an open mind and heart. He admits he had never done anything remotely close to surviving to this extreme.
“Not only completely vulnerable to the outside elements but away from society,” he wrote on his Instagram.
During the show, he made a good connection with fellow star, Lauren. But their togetherness didn’t last long.
“I learned to be more open-minded,” the firefighter quipped after filming. “I don’t think love is about finding the right person, I think it’s about becoming the right person,” he added.
Ben Coleman
